The Fire Cadet Academy is returning for 2022! Individuals between 14 and 18 are welcome to sign up to experience the opportunity to be a volunteer firefighter. This is a unique arrangement in southwestern Pennsylvania, and is a model of cooperation between local government and volunteerism. In return the professionals of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company spend their volunteer time training, providing Fire Safety Education, and responding to emergency calls. As part of the agreement, the township provides financial support for building maintenance, equipment, and apparatus. The Fire Company created a unique agreement with the Township in 1981, which transferred the assets of the Company to Cranberry Township. We are a 100% volunteer organization established in 1959 providing fire and rescue services to the residents of Cranberry Township.
